The European Union idea came as a post WW2 need to make europe into something fresh and dynamic. Today the European completion has been far back for the original dates and no national political parties seems to care at all because they know that with this way they will maintain their original authorities. As it was mentioned above Europeans fail to realize that its far better having a solid Constitution and granting the European parliament all the political authorities, than having a lobbyist group called the European commission to decide about matters in a cross national scale. To me the national and cross country political scene is just a mirror of the political level of awareness of any given society. To be able to talk about europe as a whole, will not happen automatically if the Constitution is accepted but only if each citizen of europe realizes why and how this totality should excist in order to achieve better political stability and a better society for all Europe has always been a victim of it’s own success.
